The following frequently asked questions will help you understand your Sampling portal better.
A sampling unit represents a single inventory item that you can offer to the sampling community in exchange for a genuine, unbiased product review.
A unit is available if you haven't offered it to the sampling community or if you've offered it but no one has requested it yet.
Yes. Refer to your contract to see when your units expire.
Processing the sampling nomination form and fulfillment sheet can take a couple of days. The dashboard will continue to display suggested actions about those files until we have finished processing them. If you see a message about an action you've already completed for your current sampling campaign, you don't need to perform the action again.
Your sampling unit numbers will update within a day of sending us your sampling nomination form and within two days of sending us your fulfillment sheet.
The Reviewed card shows the total number of collected reviews that Bazaarvoice moderation has approved. Once we send a review to a retailer, the retailer determines when to update its website to display the review. In some cases, reviews can take 7-10 days to appear on a retailer's website after we send the reviews.
Products and Reviews
Yes. Visit the View products page. To see program-specific metrics for a product, select the program from the Sampling Program list. Click the product whose metrics you want to see. Available metrics include the number of units offered, number of units requested by sampling community members, number of units shipped, and the number of reviews collected about the product.
You can see product reviews in two places:
- To see reviews for all sampled products, visit the Reviews page. Reviews are sorted by date with the most recent reviews at the top.
- To see reviews for a single product collected through a specific sampling program, visit the View products page. Select a sampling program from the Sampling program list. Click a product to open its product details page, which contains reviews collected through the sampling program you selected.
You can share reviews between product variants. A product variant is nearly identical to another product in terms of consumer experience, but it has a different SKU or part number. Common variants include color, size, package weight, and quantity per package. If you notice that reviews are not being shared between variants, contact Bazaarvoice Client Care .
If you are the administrator for your Brand Edge account, you can create additional user accounts. When specifying account details, select Sampling from the Solutions list under Permissions.
Bazaarvoice uses AWS Certificate Manager (ACM) to generate auto-renewing, public SSL certificates for Sampling portals.
For information about how to add or modify Domain Name System (DNS) records, check with your DNS provider.
After you create the DNS record to validate the SSL certificate generated on your behalf, it typically takes 30 minutes for the record to propagate and for the ACM to issue the certificate.
No, these certificates are auto-renewing, so you will not have to contact Bazaarvoice for a renewal.
